The composition created for Breakfast lounge, located on the 17th floor, is one of the most remarkable artworks of this project. A visual spectacle in the form of a curved wall on which my art was printed on textile material.
Inspired by the underlying concept of the fusion of global cultures, I crafted a work of expressive artwork that blends pop art and kitsch in a surreal tone full of energy and movement. In it, a tumultuous kaleidoscope of characters and elements emblematic of Mexican, Andean, Scottish, English, Dutch and Indian cultures converge and float freely, almost as if caught in an ethereal dance, across the broad curved surface that serves as their canvas.
This composition is the most visually chaotic of the project, it is also the one that incorporates the greatest mix of cultures, and the one that offers the closest experience to Nhow’s stylistic ingredients: the most sweeping pop art and kitsch.
FUSION WITH INTERIOR DESIGN
This work, physically divided into two curved textile-surfaced walls, is contextualised in an ‘after hours/night feeling’ environment, with dim lighting that enhances the enigmatic feel of the work, as the visitor must sharpen their visual perception in order to unravel the chaotic fusion of interconnected and merging elements through the patterns of giant tulips.
