Photoshoot by international stylist and make-up artist Kyra Vister with my murals for nhow Amsterdam Rai as context.
Kyra Vister, renowned Dutch stylist and make-up artist, has selected the iconic nhow Amsterdam Rai hotel as the canvas for an international photoshoot.
The essence of the hotel, encapsulated in my murals and floor designs that adorn the cocktail bar and restaurant, provides a dynamic backdrop that enhances the vibrancy of each shot. In the lobby corridors, my mural acts as an extension of the catwalk, where each step reveals a visual narrative in tune with the boldness and grace of the models.
In my view, this photo reportage transcends the simple fashion exhibition and becomes a vibrant testimony to the interaction between hotel wall art and architectural space. This is achieved through the visual dialogue that is created between the strength, naturalness and femininity of the models and the environment of the nhow Amsterdam Rai is the result of careful planning in the field of interior design art.
The murals, infused with vivid colours and evocative shapes, act not only as aesthetic backdrops but also as key elements in the visual narrative of the photoshoot, demonstrating how spaces can be transformed into multi-sensory experiences that transcend traditional hotel décor.
The murals, infused with vivid colours and evocative forms, act not only as aesthetic backdrops but also as key elements in the visual narrative of the photoshoot, demonstrating how spaces can be transformed into multi-sensory experiences that transcend traditional hotel décor. My vision as a hotel artist and my dedication to art for interior design seek to resonate with those who appreciate the immersive experience of a world of their own where every detail contributes to a larger narrative. In every corner of the nhow Amsterdam Rai the synergy between the murals and the interior design invites visitors to experience art in all its dimensions, making each room an extension of the symbolic ‘Pop Art gallery’ that is the hotel. So I think this project reflects my artistic vision, my essence as a creator and what I try to achieve through my work. Kyra Vister has known how to use this to create a unique and compelling visual narrative and context.
