The proposal for the lobby wall on the first floor of the hotel mixes digital and organic creation in its process. Instead of being printed, my composition was projected with light onto the wall, giving life to a blank canvas. A painter then traced and filled in the contours with his brush, giving rise to a result reminiscent of urban art in its purest essence.

This mural covers a large wall of the hotel’s first-floor lobby, incorporated into the architectural elements of the space in a natural way, fusing art, architecture and interior design. Its panoramic nature creates an immersive experience for viewers.

The composition is divided into three main visual layers that are mixed with chaos and disorder in the composition:

In the foreground, closer to the viewer, a series of iconic Japanese characters and iconic carp move and jump over the waves. These waves, with their stylised movement and fluidity, are reminiscent of the unmistakable style of the Japanese artist Hokusai.

The second layer introduces a composition made up of a web of Japanese vegetation, African masks and Mexican catrinas. This cultural mosaic adds an exuberant visual landscape to the waves, dotted with nuances and details that invite detailed observation.

Finally, the third and last layer presents a background landscape with traditional Japanese-style brushstrokes. This layer adds depth to the mural and serves as a backdrop for the previous two layers, closing the composition with a touch of serenity and balance.

The result is a mural that not only adorns, but also tells a visual story, an ode to the mixing of cultures and creative exchange.
