EXPOSICIONES DE ARTE DEL FUTURO

For the corridors of the 7 floors of the hotel, the concept revolves around one of the cultural axes of the city of Madrid: art.
Madrid is one of the great international capitals of art: it is home to some of the most important museums in the world and treasures works by some of the most important artists of all time.

Based on this premise, I have designed a series of posters announcing exhibitions in an imaginary future. A selected group of 16 of the most relevant Spanish artists of the last decades are the basis for this collection of posters announcing fictitious exhibitions that would take place in the coming years and decades (1930s and 1940s of this century).

This exercise in “fantastic reality” establishes an exotic link with the city of Madrid through art and fantasy, and fills the corridors of the hotel with magic.

I have created seven versions for each of the sixteen selected artists. Seven versions in seven languages (English, French, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese, Greek and Spanish), each language associated with one of the seven floors of the hotel.
